The Dream Coil

I honestly don't know what happened to July. I glanced at my pen and paper journal to see if there's anything worth writing about, but it mostly covers work, family drama, and a short bout of illness for both me and the dog...mundane things that don't merit much discussion.

I did put together a couple of digital collages which I posted on a separate blog, The Dream Coil. This will likely become a repository for any additional collage work that I decide to post. I don't know why it needs a separate space, but it does. Welcome to the way that I organize my head...

Memory #1

I enjoy digital collage. It's a visual form of journaling that helps to capture certain feelings through atmosphere and ambiance when words just don't do the trick. This one is simply called Memory #1, because I couldn't be bothered to think of a better title.

The music that I've been listening to corresponds as well. The playlist for this collage consisted of: Jill Tracy and the Malcontent Orchestra, Attrition, Kolacny Brothers and Scala, and The Decemberists.

A Vampiress

I've been bastardizing old paintings again... Vampires are the theme for the day. It's a simple edit, but I like it. The original is called Biondina, and Lord Leighton is likely rolling in his grave at this moment. If you want to see a larger version, I posted it in my gallery.
